A super handy piece of everyday gear. I made mine when I was doing a bowdrill ember every day for a year so I needed string. It's a length of paracord approx 8' with a ferro rod toggle on one end and a bowline on the other. I keep a piece of fatwood hanked up in mine and a piece of bicycle inner tube in the outside to hold it together while in my pocket.
I've used it for other stuff too. A leash, tied off a dudes canoe that was stuck under a tree, tied down has cans in the back of the truck. Lots of options for EDC if you have it.
